The Daniel Lions can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 76-53 margin over West-Oak. The victory was familiar territory for Daniel who now have six in a row.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Daniel to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tristyn Carrington, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 assists. That's the first time this season that Carrington posted eight or more assists. Another player making a difference was Hayden Anderson, who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
When it comes to explaining why West-Oak lost, one person who can't be blamed is Lucas Towe. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with eight rebounds. Towe has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Crompton, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Daniel pushed their record up to 17-6 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 80.2 points per game. As for West-Oak, they are on a 12-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-18.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Daniel will challenge Seneca at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Seneca is ranked 65th, while Daniel is ranked 42nd). As for West-Oak, they will head out on the road to square off against Walhalla at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
