The Mater Dei Knights will take on the Belleville East Lancers at 4:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Mater Dei is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
 Mater Dei is ranked highly in their home state, and   on Thursday they took on another highly ranked team in the form of Incarnate Word Academy. Mater Dei was the victim of a  tough 61-39 defeat at the hands of Incarnate Word Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  loss Mater Dei has suffered  yet this season.
 Despite their  defeat, Mater Dei saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays.  Amelia Beer, who  scored 13 points, was perhaps the best of all. As a matter of fact, that's the most points  Beer has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of  Alyssa Koerkenmeier, who  scored ten points along with six  rebounds and three  blocks.
 Meanwhile, Belleville East had to suffer through a rough  51-22 loss at the hands of Collinsville. Belleville East has not had much luck with Collinsville recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
 Mater Dei's defeat  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 16-3. As for Belleville East, they have  been struggling recently, as they've  lost five of their last six matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.
 Mater Dei didn't have too much breathing room in their  contest against Belleville East  in their previous meeting  back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a  44-38 victory. Does  Mater Dei have another victory up their sleeve, or will Belleville East turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
