The Seneca Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Broome Centurions at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Seneca put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They breezed by West-Oak on the road to the tune of 47-6. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Seneca as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Seneca's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gavin Thoma led the charge by throwing for 222 yards and four touchdowns. Kamari Hudson also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Broome unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Chapman by a score of 38-35.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Jaylen Mcgill, who rushed for 155 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 7.0 yards per carry. Mcgill hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for five straight games. Kamajay Brackett-Brannon also helped out as he racked up 112 rushing yards.
Seneca's win lifted them to 5-5 while Broome's loss dropped them down to 8-2.
