The Westmoore Jaguars came tearing into Monday's contest with four straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They claimed a resounding 64-15 win over Northwest Classen on the road. Given Westmoore's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 88th, while Northwest Classen is ranked 391st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Westmoore got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dee Frost out in front who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine assists. It was the first time this season that Frost posted eight or more assists. Blythe Crawley was another key contributor, scoring 24 points.
Westmoore pushed their record up to 13-7 with that win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Northwest Classen, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-19.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Westmoore will take on Norman at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Norman is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Northwest Classen, they will be playing at home against Yukon at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwest Classen comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
