The Rockport-Fulton Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The New Year welcomed they with a 60-29 whooping from Jones. Rockport-Fulton has not had much luck with Jones recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Kaydence Menchaca was her usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with five steals for Jones. Another player making a difference was Danielle Gonzales, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Rockport-Fulton's loss dropped their record down to 7-17. As for Jones, they pushed their record up to 15-10 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home.
Rockport-Fulton will head out on the road to face off against Calhoun at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Jones, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome West Oso at 6:15 p.m. on January 9th. Hopefully West Oso focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
