After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Challis, the Alturas Prep Pumas were happy to have found some success on Friday. They really took it to American Heritage for the full four quarters, racking up a 56-23 victory on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Alturas Prep has managed all season.
It was another big night for Kiearon Marshall, who dropped a triple-double on 25 points, 17 rebounds, and 11 blocks. He also posted eight+ assists for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Korbin Russum, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds.
Alturas Prep's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for American Heritage, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Alturas Prep on the road again on Thursday and play against Taylor's Crossing at 7:00 p.m. on January 25th. As for American Heritage, they will face off against Challis at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
