The Granger Lions are on the road again on Thursday and play against the Brackett Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on November 16th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Granger walked away with it. They enjoyed a cozy 21-7 win over Burton on Thursday.
Meanwhile, Brackett stacked a eighth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 66-0 win over Pettus. The victory was familiar territory for Brackett who now have seven in a row.
Kontagious Cook was a one-man wrecking crew for Brackett as he rushed for 288 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries. Cook really tore up the turf during one magnificent 93-yard run. The team also got some help courtesy of Marques Hernandez, who rushed for six yards and two touchdowns.
Granger has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for Brackett, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 9-2.
