After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Seven Rivers Christian, the First Academy Eagles were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They walked away with a 28-15 victory over Lake Mary Prep. That result was just more of the same for these two, as First Academy also won the last time the pair played on January 4th.
Leading First Academy to victory were Molly Beliveau and Avery Weaver. Beliveau dropped a double-double on ten points and 20 rebounds, while Weaver scored 12 points.
First Academy's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Lake Mary Prep, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. First Academy will take on Orangewood Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Orangewood Christian is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak. As for Lake Mary Prep, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sports Leadership & Management at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
