The Fillmore Central Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Shelby-Rising City 72-37 on the road. The victory was just business as usual for Fillmore Central, who after eight games remain undefeated this season.
Fillmore Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Daniel Stoner, who scored 16 points. Carson Asche was another key contributor, scoring 14 points.
Fillmore Central pushed their record up to 8-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points per game. As for Shelby-Rising City, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.
Fillmore Central will head out on the road to face off against Central City at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday. Shelby-Rising City won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Clarkson/Leigh at 12:30 p.m. on December 29th. Clarkson/Leigh has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
