Persing has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in ten consecutive pitching appearances. Persing was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-3 with four  RBI, a  stolen base,  and a  run.
 In other batting news,  Max Furman and  Parker Bennett did most of the damage at the plate:  Furman  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while  Bennett  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in all three of his plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Blake Fry, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in two of his three plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Millville waltzed into their matchup  on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Tigers as they made off with  a  6-0 victory.
 Montgomery's win bumped their record up to 16-1. As for Millville, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won seven of their last eight contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record  this season.
