The Craigmont Chiefs lost against the Millington Central Trojans back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Craigmont took a 50-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of Millington Central.
Millington Central found their leader in underclassman Arianna Whiten, who scored 13 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Whiten has scored all season. Bailey Boone was another key contributor, scoring three points along with nine rebounds and three steals.
Craigmont has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Millington Central, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Craigmont will challenge Munford at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Millington Central, they will head out on the road to take on Raleigh-Egypt at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Raleigh-Egypt has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 29.
