Newfane has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the Medina Mustangs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Newfane has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 556 points over their last eight matches.
In what's become a running theme this season, Newfane gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They claimed a resounding 76-39 win over Wilson at home. Given Newfane's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 183rd, while the Lakemen are ranked 723rd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Landon Braman, who scored 32 points along with eight rebounds and five assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Capen Mac, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Medina's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fourth straight defeat. They lost to Wheatland-Chili on the road by a decisive 60-44 margin.
Newfane pushed their record up to 15-1 with that victory, which was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.4 points per game. As for Medina, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Everything came up roses for Newfane against the Mustangs when the teams last played on Monday as the team secured a 75-40 victory. With Newfane ahead 42-15 at the half, the match was all but over already.
