The Clear Creek Golddiggers won the last time they faced the Dayspring Christian Academy Eagles, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Clear Creek secured a 53-47 W over the Eagles.
Clear Creek's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zephyr Schuessler, who scored 18 points along with five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schuessler has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Hendrickson, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds and two blocks.
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Hudson Weigt, who scored 13 points. Owen Mcclanahan was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with two steals.
Clear Creek now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-10 record this season.
Clear Creek will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Thunder at 7:00 p.m. Denver Christian presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Golddiggers in Colorado (the Thunder are ranked 87th, while the Golddiggers are ranked 226th). As for Dayspring Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
