The Westville Tigers have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 49-41 win over Armstrong on Monday. For Westville, this counts as revenge for the 46-21 loss the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2023.
Westville was led to victory by Aubrie Jenkins and Lani Gondzur. Jenkins scored 14 points along with eight rebounds, while Gondzur scored 17 points along with three steals.
Westville's victory bumped their record up to 5-21. As for Armstrong, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 14 of their last 17 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-22 record this season.
Westville will head out on the road to challenge the Blue Devils at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Armstrong, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Buffaloes at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Georgetown-Ridge Farm will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
