Volleyball Recap: Franklin Community Has No Trouble Against Columbus North

Franklin Community extended their postseason success on Saturday against Columbus North. They blew past the Bull Dogs 3-0. The win continues a trend for the Grizzly Cubs in their matchups with the Bull Dogs: they've now won three in a row.

Chase Alyea paced Franklin Community's offense, picking up 19 kills. Alyea got some help from Jesse Kaster and his 31 assists. Titus Cross and Joshua Adams kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

Franklin Community's victory bumped their record up to 23-12. As for Columbus North, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-19.

After both having extra time off, Franklin Community and Roncalli will shake off the rust and duke it out at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Royals will roll in looking for their 24th straight win, something the Grizzly Cubs surely won't give up without a fight. Columbus North does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
