The Northeast Bearcats on the road again on Thursday and play against the Helias Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. Northeast will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Missouri Rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Helias is ranked 45th).
Northeast pushed their score all the way to 57 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 67-57 to South Shelby. Northeast has struggled against South Shelby recently, as their game on Saturday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
In what's become a running theme this season, Helias gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They blew past California 77-45 on the road. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Helias has posted since December 19, 2023.
Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Helias, their win bumped their record up to 11-7.
