Western has gone 3-0 against Doral Academy Red Rock recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Western Warriors will host the Doral Academy Red Rock Dragons at 5:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Western's favor as the team sits on five straight wins at home while Doral Academy Red Rock has been banged up by eight consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

Western will head into Monday's matchup hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a three-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 28-point drubbing they dealt Rancho on Monday. Western blew past Rancho 61-33. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 28 points or more this season.

Western found their leader in sophomore Laila Lwaba, who went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc on her way to 30 points and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Lwaba has scored at least a third of Western's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Pace, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and nine rebounds.

Western was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Rancho only posted five assists.

Meanwhile, Doral Academy Red Rock came up short against Silverado on Tuesday and fell 38-30.

Western is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Doral Academy Red Rock, their loss dropped their record down to 5-11.

Everything came up roses for Western against Doral Academy Red Rock in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the squad secured a 65-22 win. Will Western repeat their success, or does Doral Academy Red Rock have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
