The Notre Dame Jugglers will head out on the road to face off against the New Hartford Spartans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Notre Dame has struggled recently with 15 losses in a row, while New Hartford will arrive with three straight wins.
Last Friday, Notre Dame came up short against Vernon-Verona-Sherrill and fell 57-46.
Meanwhile, New Hartford scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Vernon-Verona-Sherrill with a sharp 85-62 win. Given New Hartford's advantage in MaxPreps' New York basketball rankings (they are ranked 303rd, while Vernon-Verona-Sherrill is ranked 635th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Notre Dame dropped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for New Hartford, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.
Notre Dame suffered a grim 75-52 defeat to New Hartford when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Notre Dame avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
