The Helena Huskies put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their undefeated season alive. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Calera 49-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Helena, who have now won six matchups by 21 points or more so far this season.
Helena's win was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-0. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 45.2 points per game. As for Calera, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Helena will challenge Benjamin Russell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Benjamin Russell is ranked 38th, while Helena is ranked 26th). As for Calera, they will head out on the road to face off against Gadsden City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Gadsden City knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Calera likes a good challenge.
