Old Fort took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Danbury, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Stockaders skirted past the Lakers 11-9. Abbi Ward was incredible, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Marah Miller was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three runs and two RBI.
Old Fort's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-9 and their overall record up to 2-13. As for Danbury, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-5.
