Sealy (4-4) takes on Columbia (4-3) this Friday at 7:30 PM. Sealy has been tearing up the end zone with big points in its last four contests.
Sealy took a hit to the loss column with a 53 - 44 setback at the hands of Bay City last week. Nonetheless, junior Garret Zaskoda put up a great fight, throwing for 385 totals.
Meanwhile, Columbia had all the answers against Brazosport last week, winning 50 - 22. Columbia especially relied on senior Keithan Taylor, who earned two touchdowns and 112 yards rushing the ball, and sophomore Cameron Ward, who tossed for two touchdowns and rushed for two more. Taylor's longest score was a 40-yard scramble in the fourth quarter. This marked the 3rd consecutive game in which Taylor had 100+ rushing yards. Additional support came from senior Alec Herrera, a defensive powerhouse who racked up 18 tackles.
The last time they met, Columbia got past Sealy 31 - 13. Will Sealy avenge its loss? We'll find out soon enough.
