La Jolla Country Day can now show off five landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 48-6 win over Francis Parker. With La Jolla Country Day ahead 42-6 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Among those leading the charge was Jaden Mangini, who rushed for 122 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries, and also threw for 15 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Davin Doak was another key contributor, rushing for 66 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries.
Meanwhile, Morse's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 48-29 to Mira Mesa.
Despite the defeat, Morse saw an underclassman step up: Jonah Holloway rushed for 123 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Superior Garror, who rushed for 75 yards and a touchdown.
La Jolla Country Day's victory bumped their season record to 7-3 while Morse's loss dropped theirs to 4-6.
