The Laurel Panthers's game two weeks ago was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They secured a 54-48 W over Community Christian.
Laurel found their leader in underclassman Dominic James, who scored 15 points along with 3 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which James has scored at least 25% of Laurel's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Brown, who scored 13 points.
Laurel's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Community Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laurel will take on Seven Oaks Classical at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Seven Oaks Classical is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for Community Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against King's Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
