There's no place like home for Bayou Academy, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They skirted past the Winston Academy Patriots 4-3. The Colts haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Ryan Mallette was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Reed Holman also deserves some recognition as he stole his first stolen base of the season.

Bayou Academy now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Winston Academy, they moved to 6-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bayou Academy will head out to face off against Clarksdale at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Winston Academy, they will challenge Oak Hill Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Winston Academy is facing Oak Hill Academy at the right time seeing as Oak Hill Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
