Millbrook owes their pitching crew a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They put the hurt on the Meridian Mustangs with a sharp 8-0 win. Considering the Pioneers have won six contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Millbrook has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.8 runs over those games. As for Meridian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-12.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Millbrook is set to take on their familiar foe James Wood at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Pioneers 4, the Colonels 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Meridian will challenge rival Warren County at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
