The Avon Park Red Devils will venture away from home to take on the Haines City Hornets at 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Avon Park knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Haines City likes a good challenge.
Avon Park is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Lake Placid 84-63 on Friday. The Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 21 points or more this season.

Jose Silva continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 22 points and seven rebounds. That's the most points he has posted since back in January. The team also got some help courtesy of Damari Cohen, who posted 15 points and seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Haines City was able to grind out a solid win over Vanguard on Friday, taking the game 79-72. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hornets.
Avon Park better keep an eye on Eddy Hyppolite Jr.. He was instrumental in Haines City's win, going 9 of 22 on his way to 24 points and six assists. The contest was Hyppolite Jr.'s fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darrick Downing, who put up eight points.
Haines City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Vanguard only pulled down one offensive rebound.
Avon Park pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Haines City, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.
Some high-performance offense is likely on the agenda as both are some of the highest scoring teams in the league. Avon Park hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having averaged 68 points per game. However, it's not like Haines City struggles in that department as they've been averaging 61.9 points. With both teams so easily able to put up points, the only question left is who can run the score up higher.
Everything went Avon Park's way against Haines City when the teams last played back in January, as Avon Park made off with a 74-54 victory. In that game, Avon Park amassed a halftime lead of 40-20, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Monday.
