Kolten DeGroot posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Monday. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

DeGroot's strong effort led Arvada West over Lakewood and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
