Summit (N.J.) snapped the 7-game winning streak of Palisades Park/Leonia (Palisades Park, N.J.), with a 30-0 victory on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Aj Iarussi in the first quarter, the Hilltoppers led 7-0 at the half.
Summit expanded its lead to 21 points entering the fourth quarter. SHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Mike Badgley.
Badgley was the top performer for the Hilltoppers. The senior running back ran for one touchdown and kicked one field goal and three extra points.
Summit had given up an average of 12.6 points prior to the contest. The zero points that the Tigers ended with were well below their average of 22.6 coming into the game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Palisades Park/Leonia, which notched a 35-21 victory over Cranford in its previous outing.
