The Clinton Central Bulldogs lost against the Fountain Central Mustangs back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Clinton Central had to suffer through a rough 76-48 loss at the hands of Fountain Central. Clinton Central has not had much luck with Fountain Central recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Despite the loss, Clinton Central still got an impressive performance from Lane Davis, who scored 15 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Luke Davison, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.
Fountain Central had a senior duo take command as Isaac Gayler scored 27 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals and Will Harmon scored 23 points along with 7 rebounds and 6 assists. That makes it two consecutive games in which Harmon has scored at least 25% of Fountain Central's points. Another player making a difference was Koby Wolf, who scored 5 points.
Clinton Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Fountain Central, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clinton Central won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Madison-Grant at 7:30 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Madison-Grant focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Saturday. As for Fountain Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Riverton Parke at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
