Troy was led to victory by Simone Adekoya and Kiyah Baker. Adekoya scored eight points, while Baker dropped a double-double on ten points and 14 rebounds.
Troy's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Piqua, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Troy will take on Sidney at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Sidney presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Troy in Ohio (Sidney is ranked 162nd, while Troy is ranked 576th). As for Piqua, they will stay at home for another game and welcome West Carrollton at 10:29 a.m. on January 20th.
