Marshall had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed past the Gull Lake Blue Devils to the tune of 42-14 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Redhawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marshall will host Fowlerville at 7:00 p.m. on September 5. As for Gull Lake, they will welcome Coldwater at 7:00 p.m. on September 5.
