While Southeast's victory against Alliance wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Pirates had just enough and edged out the Aviators 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Aviators: they've now won four in a row.

Morgan Muncy made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Muncy wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Lily Hayes, who went 2-for-4 with one run.

Southeast hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least four batters in five consecutive matchups.

Southeast's record is now 15-7. As for Alliance, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season.

Southeast will have a chance to go back-to-back against Alliance: the pair will be back at it again later today.
