The Louisville Leopards will take on the Canfield Cardinals at 5:00  p.m.  on Monday.
Louisville easily dispatched Manchester on March 11th, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Louisville fell just short of Hiland by a score of  3-1 on Saturday. Having soared to a lofty 19  runs in the game before, the Leopards couldn't push the score so high this time.
  Cooper Rice was cooking despite his team's loss,   scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, Canfield had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against Washington by a score of  6-1  on Saturday.
 Anthony Groner was a major factor no matter where he played. He  pitched six innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. Groner was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI.
 In other batting news, Canfield let  Zain Jadallah and  Tanner Stricko run wild. Jadallah  scored two  runs while going 3-for-4, while  Stricko  scored three  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most  hits  Jadallah has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was  Dylan Mancini, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI.
 Louisville skirted past Canfield  4-2 in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024. Will Louisville repeat their success,  or does  Canfield has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
