The Dutch Fork Silver Foxes won the last time they faced the Mid-Carolina Rebels, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Dutch Fork took their contest on the road with ease, bagging a 62-22 win over Mid-Carolina. That 62-22 margin sets a new team best for Dutch Fork this season.
Tanner Poore was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 17 points. Those 17 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Jayden Walker, who scored 13 points.
Despite the loss, Mid-Carolina still got an impressive performance from Tymarion Floyd, who scored 14 points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Mid-Carolina struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Dutch Fork now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Mid-Carolina, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Dutch Fork will finish 2023 at home by hosting Newberry at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Newberry knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matches -- so hopefully Dutch Fork likes a good challenge. Mid-Carolina won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Strom Thurmond at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th. Strom Thurmond will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
