After a string of three wins, Family Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell 8-4 to Varsity Opponent. The Flames were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Varsity Opponent apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Family Christian saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devyn Baker, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits Baker has posted since back in February of 2024.

Family Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9.

Family Christian has already played their next matchup, an 11-0 loss against Parkview Baptist on the 31st. As for Varsity Opponent, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 12-6 defeat against Alexandria Homeschool Arts & Athletics on the 28th.
