Baseball Recap: Thursday's Win Is Camden's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Camden never let their opponents score on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Richland Northeast Cavaliers as they made off with a 10-0 win. Considering the Bulldogs have won eight matches by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Zechariah Haney, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That home run was his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Thomas Bishop, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Camden hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive contests.

Camden is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-11 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.1 runs on average over those games. As for Richland Northeast, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Camden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Richland Northeast, they will square off against Ridge View at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers are facing the Blazers at the right time seeing as the Blazers are stuck on a 14-game losing streak.
