Softball Recap: Panther Creek Comes Up Short

Panther Creek blew Leesville Road out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Leesville Road got their revenge. The Panther Creek Catamounts fell just short of the Leesville Road Pride by a score of 12-10. The Catamounts were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Pride apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2023.

Cassidy Robinson and Hannah Welborn stepped up to the plate in a big way. Robinson scored three runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4, while Welborn scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Sydney Gauldin, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

They weren't the only ones working in the hit department: Panther Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Panther Creek's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Leesville Road, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Panther Creek will host Green Level at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Leesville Road, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Broughton at 4:00 p.m. on March 18th.
