The Academic Magnet Raptors came into Tuesday's match having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They managed a 35-29 win over Ashley Hall on Tuesday. The win was just what Academic Magnet needed coming off of a 74-26 loss in their prior match.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Academic Magnet to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lindsey Griffin, who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Grace Reuben, who scored four points along with 20 rebounds.
Academic Magnet's win bumped their record up to 6-16. As for Ashley Hall, they dropped their record down to 1-11 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Academic Magnet will face off against the Gators at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in South Carolina (Lake Marion is ranked 173rd, while the Raptors are ranked 195th). As for Ashley Hall, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
