Dakota is 10-0 against Durand since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Dakota Indians will be playing in front of their home fans against the Durand Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. Hopefully Dakota focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 18 on Thursday.
On Thursday, Dakota didn't have too much trouble with Milledgeville at home as they won 54-40. The victory was just what Dakota needed coming off of a 57-18 defeat in their prior match.
Madison Binder went supernova for Dakota, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 14 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Hailey Kerchner, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, Durand's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their 13th straight loss. They were beaten by Lena-Winslow 60-32. Durand has struggled against Lena-Winslow recently, as their contest on Thursday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Dakota's win bumped their record up to 12-18. As for Durand, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 15 of their last 16 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Dakota against Durand in their previous meeting on Tuesday as the team secured a 48-18 win. With Dakota ahead 29-8 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
