Miramonte is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Berean Christian is on a five-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Matadors will host the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
On Tuesday, Miramonte made easy work of Campolindo and carried off a 16-1 victory. The Matadors haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Abby Warren made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-5 with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Miramonte got a massive performance out of Talia Kardon, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Gianna Granzella, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Miramonte kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They are 8-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Berean Christian got the win against Mt. Diablo on Tuesday by a conclusive 14-4.
Isabella Tafoya was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Alissa Jones, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Miramonte's victory bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Berean Christian, their win bumped their record up to 15-2.
Thursday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Miramonte hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .343. However, it's not like Berean Christian struggles in that department as they've averaged .336. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
