The Normal West Wildcats have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They skirted past Washington 36-34. For Normal West, this counts as revenge for the 54-38 defeat the Panthers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Nate Moore continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points. Another player making a difference was CJ Wilson, who scored five points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Normal West's win bumped their record up to 9-17. As for Washington, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Normal West has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Washington will take on the Redbirds at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Metamora will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
