The Heritage Panthers's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Melbourne Bulldogs at 7:15 p.m. on January 26th. Heritage will be strutting in after a victory while Melbourne will be coming in after a defeat.
Last Friday, Heritage earned a 64-53 win over Satellite.
Heritage's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Conrad Bryant, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Bryant hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of David Simpkins, who scored 21 points along with five assists.
Meanwhile, Melbourne came up short against Treasure Coast on Tuesday and fell 52-45. While losing is never fun, Melbourne can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 394th, while Treasure Coast is ranked 94th).
Heritage's win bumped their record up to 7-13. As for Melbourne, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.
Heritage skirted past Melbourne 44-41 when the teams last played two weeks ago. Does Heritage have another victory up their sleeve, or will Melbourne turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
