Football Recap: Rosebud-Lott Piles Up the Points Against Normangee

There's no place like home for Rosebud-Lott, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They blew past the Normangee Panthers 28-0 on Friday. Considering the Cougars have won four contests by more than 27 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Rosebud-Lott's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Pryce Rabroker, who threw for 143 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 63 yards. A healthy portion of Rabroker's aerial production (82 yards to be exact) went to Kaiden Johnson, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Rosebud-Lott was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 207 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

Rosebud-Lott pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their third straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 6.7 points on average over those games. As for Normangee, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-3.

Rosebud-Lott and Normangee will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Cougars see the field they'll take on Riesel at 7:30 p.m. on October 10. As for Normangee, their break will end when they face Leon at 7:30 p.m. on October 10.
