Arrupe Jesuit took a serious blow against Jefferson Academy, falling 49-20. Arrupe Jesuit found out winning isn't easy when you're outrebounded 22 to 3 on offense.
Despite the loss, Arrupe Jesuit still got an impressive performance from Valerie Autunez, who scored 5 points along with 5 rebounds.
Elsa Nygren went supernova for Jefferson Academy, dropping a double-double on 16 points and 14 rebounds. Marlo Campbell was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 6 rebounds and 6 steals.
Arrupe Jesuit's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Jefferson Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Arrupe Jesuit's road trip will continue as they head out to face Timnath at 10:00 a.m. on December 2nd. Allowing an average of 61 points per game, Timnath has struggled on the defensive end, but that doesn't have to be the case in this game. As for Jefferson Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Resurrection Christian at 1:00 p.m. Hopefully Resurrection Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 23 on Friday.
