Maize South lost to Bishop Carroll on January 9th, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Maize South Mavericks came out on top against the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles by a score of 47-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Mavericks.

Maize South is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Bishop Carroll, they now have a losing record at 6-7.

Maize South will venture away from home to face off against Haysville Campus at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bishop Carroll, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on East at 7:30 p.m. on February 4th.
