Baseball Recap: Phoenix Christian Picks Up Fifth Consecutive Win

Phoenix Christian had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.3 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. Everything went their way against the Camp Verde Cowboys as they made off with a 14-3 victory. The Cougars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Phoenix Christian let Kevin Palafox and Zach Brigowatz run wild. Palafox went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs, while Brigowatz scored two runs while going 1-for-1. What's more, Brigowatz posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Shores, who scored two runs while going 1-for-1.

Phoenix Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .708. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in five consecutive games.

Phoenix Christian's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 19-2. As for Camp Verde, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.
