Wylie took down Greenwood 41-9 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Monahans and Snyder played the closest game in 3A Region I District 4 this week, with Monahans eventually emerging with a 35-34 victory.
Big Spring's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tobyn Tannehill threw for 254 and 3 touchdowns and Devin Roberson had 119 yards receiving. On the ground Preston Alexander chipped in 163 yards. Tate Kennedy helped Big Spring's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 84 yards.
Zach Redwine made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Rangers lost to the Bulldogs. The 5-foot-11 junior forced 1 fumble and recorded 2 fumbles.
He went 15-19 with 0 interceptions.
Roberson was the best wideout in the league this week as the Steers beat Sweetwater. Roberson tallied 7 receptions for 119 yards. Kennedy helped Big Spring's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 84 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Big Spring's Tannehill and Roberson have proven to be a lethal combination. 6-1 quarterback Tannehill has thrown for 1,560 yards this season, while Roberson has 39 catches for 743 yards. The Tigers' D'vincent Allison leads the league in rushing yards with 1,310.
Tannehill of the Phillip Ritchey's team is just 62 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 99 carries Tannehill has accumulated 938 yard this year.
The Loboes are in first place, while the Mustangs are in fourth place.
The league will see a high scoring game when Shad Hanna's team and the Steers face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, the Rangers comes in having scored 201 this season, while Big Spring has scored 342. Greenwood scored 9 points last week as it lost to Wylie.
The Steers led 3A Region I District 4 in scoring this week after putting up 65 points on Sweetwater. Tannehill ran for 103 yards in the win.
