The Carroll County Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their ninth straight loss. They suffered a rough 72-47 defeat at the hands of Shelby County. Carroll County has not had much luck with Shelby County recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Carroll County still got an impressive performance from Landon Groves, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Kinman, who scored six points.
Carroll County's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-9. As for Shelby County, their win bumped their record up to 8-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carroll County will take on Gallatin County at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gallatin County presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Carroll County in Kentucky (Gallatin County is ranked 110th, while Carroll County is ranked 228th). As for Shelby County, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Valley at 7:30 p.m. Valley is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
