The Aptos Mariners scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past Soquel 73-71. Winning may never get old, but Aptos sure is getting used to it with their seventh in a row.
Isaiah Ackerman was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 32 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Mateo Calfe, who scored eight points along with eight assists and two steals.
Aptos has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season. As for Soquel, they now have a losing record at 12-13.
Aptos does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Soquel also has no future games currently scheduled.
