While losing is never fun, Edgewood can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 573rd, while Covenant Christian is ranked 133rd).
It was another big night for Noah Hill, who scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds and 4 steals for Covenant Christian. Hill has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Matthew Boughton was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with 6 rebounds.
Edgewood's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Covenant Christian, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Edgewood will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Collinsville. As for Covenant Christian, they will face off against Jayton at 2:00 p.m. on Friday. Jayton has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 216 points over their last three matches.
